Biology Pupils Use Jelly Babies And Strawberry Laces in Sweet DNA Models

Our F3 pupils had a great time in biology earlier this week, using strawberry laces and jelly babies to learn about the structure of DNA!

They were challenged with matching up different jelly baby heads and bodies to create the DNA base pairs, before bringing in the strawberry laces to act as the backbone.

Once the work was done, the pupils were left with some pretty ‘sweet’ DNA models!

What a tasty way to bring science to life!
