HSD team to compete in major investment competition final

Future Assets finalist team on Pillars

Good luck to a team of HSD girls who are bidding to win a major, national investment contest this week!

On Friday (7th March), F5 pupils Mariella, Nellie, Tess, Emma, Holly and Eilidh will be taking part in the final of the Growing Future Assets competition in Edinburgh.

The annual contest allows teams of S3-6 girls to experience the role of an Investment Manager, challenging them to research, analyse and pitch a company they think is a great long-term investment.

To give some real-life advice and to create links with the investment industry, participating teams are given an industry mentor to help them as they take on the tasks of writing an investment report and producing an elevator pitch.

Having impressed the judging panel with their insight on Energy Recovery, the girls won their place in the final where they will be hoping their stock rises even further.

The Growing Future Assets competition seeks to nurture the next generation of female investment experts by introducing girls to investment, its operation, relevance and impact, and the range of careers available.
