Former pupil and Dux of the High School Mona Clark has died at the age of 89.
Mona, maiden name Mars, was awarded the prestigious title in 1951 – two years before she left the school.
Following her time at the High School, she worked as a writer at the Sunday Post, before moving on to She magazine in London.
Mona later returned to Dundee, where she started a family and studied at Dundee University before becoming a lecturer.
She passed away peacefully at Ninewells Hospital on February 16.
